Homemade Hummus - Vegan Quick Snack





This christmas I received a blender /food processor from my mother-in-law, which, in my eyes, is the best gift a vegan can get! Since Christmas day, I have been busy making smoothies, peanut butters, and today I made homemade hummus.  I will share the recipe with you guys.




What you will need:

15oz can of Organic Chick Pea (Garbanzo Beans)
1/4 cup of the juice from the bean can
1 lemon squeezed
Pinch of salt
3 gloves of garlic
1/2 table spoons of  organic tahini
2 table spoons of olive oil (For garnish)

Prep (5mins)

Mix beans, lemon, garlic, tahini and salt in a food processor.   Blend the ingredients until smooth. Serve in a bowl, making a small well in the center of the hummus for 2 table spoons of olive oil. Garnish with pine nuts, and a small amount of chili powder.

This is a quick and easy snack for any busy vegan.
